The Arenal and Tamarindo combo takes you to the Arenal Volcano and then on to the beautiful Guanacaste beach in the northern Pacific. There you get to experience the popular beach town of Tamarindo, where the surf is always up in the day and the party is always rocking in the night. The package works best with flights in and out of Liberia, but can also be managed with departing flights out of San Jose (see Important Note) at bottom of design description.

Arenal and Tamarindo Combo Itinerary

Day 1. For this design you can fly into the San Jose (SJO) or Liberia (LIR) international airports. We will be there to greet you at the airport and transfer you to La Fortuna, the area of the Arenal Volcano. There you will stay at one of the area’s scenic volcano-view hotels. Breakfast is included.

Day 2. In the morning enjoy an exciting canopy (“zip-line”) tour and in the afternoon, take a volcano hike and later relax in the geothermal hot springs with dinner included.

Day 3. You will take a tourist van to the most popular beach in the Guanacaste region, Tamarindo. There you will stay at a beachfront hotel with breakfast included.

Day 4. You will have this day free to enjoy the beach.

Day 5. You will have the option of either a morning snorkel tour, or an evening sunset cruise (you pick).

Day 6. You will have another free day at the beach.

Day 7. Take a shuttle to the Liberia airport for your flight home.

Important Note: For folks flying home from San Jose, it will be necessary to modify the package and do the last night in San Jose in order to be near the airport for your flight on Day 7. This modification will come at an extra expence and time lost at the beach, so it is better to have your departing flight out of Liberia.
