This is the “Expanded Version” of our popular and action packed Costa Rica Pure Adrenaline design and includes an extra 2 nights at the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Expanded Costa Rica Pure Adrenaline Itinerary
Day 1. A representative of Package Costa Rica will greet you at the International airport (SJO). From there you will have a private transfer to your San Jose hotel. Breakfast is included.
Day 2. Full-day White Water Rafting Adventure on the world famous Pacuare River. Specialized bilingual guides will instruct you on how to manage yourself in the river. Breakfast & lunch is included.
Day 3. This morning head northwest to La Fortuna, the area of the Arenal Volcano. Upon arrival you will be checking in at one of the area’s best hotels with excellent volcano views. Once you have had a chance to check in, you will be picked up and taken on an exciting Canyoning Tour that features a series of waterfall rappels! Lunch is included.
Day 4. Enjoy a thrilling ATV tour driving your own quad and riding through plantations of bananas, papaya, yucca, avocado and more. Ride on dirt roads and across creeks and reach a lookout point to see the spectacular 65m (200 ft) La Fortuna waterfall. Then drive to a swimming hole where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool clean water. All ATV tours begin with a brief practice session to acquaint yourself with handling the machine safely. Lunch is included.
In the afternoon you will take a guided Volcano Hike to an observation point that presents a great opportunity for lava viewing at dusk and then on to the geothermal heated hot springs where dinner is included.
Day 5. Transportation this morning to the Monteverde Coud Forest will be by van and boat. You will check in at one of the cozy and rustic mountain lodges upon your arrival. Breakfast is included.
Day 6. In the morning you will enjoy a guided hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and later in the afternoon, a Canopy (“zip-line”) tour that ends with a walk on the cloud forest hanging bridges.
Day 7. Morning transportation via tourist van to Manuel Antonio where you will find some of the most scenic ocean views and home to the most visited national park. There you will check in at one of the area’s charming boutique hotels. Breakfast is included.
Day 8. Free day to relax on the beach and visit the Manuel Antonio National Park (on your own).
Day 9. You will take an afternoon tourist van to San José where you will check in at your hotel. Breakfast is included.
Design Option: If your departing flight is later than 3:00 PM, you can take this night at the beach and then take the 8:15 am tourist van straight to the San Jose airport on Day 10 to catch your flight. This option can be taken at no extra cost, giving you an extra day at the beach!
Day 10. On this day you will take a free shuttle to the San Jose Airport to catch your flight home.
