Medellin – Amazon Colombia Vacation
With this design you will not only visit the city of the eternal spring, Medellin, but also venture to the southernmost point of Colombia, Leticia, the gateway to the Colombian Amazon. This Medellin – Amazon Colombia vacation will be the adventure of a lifetime!
Medellin – Amazon Colombia Vacation
Day 1. Arrive at the International Airport (MDE). From there you will receive a private transfer to your hotel in the Poblado district of Medellin. Breakfast is provided at your hotel.
Day 2. Enjoy a full-day city tour that will take you to all the most must-see locations in the city, including Pueblita Paisa, Plaza Botero, and Parque de los Pies Descalzados, among others. Overnight is at your Medellin hotel.
Day 3. Venture outside Medellin to the old colonial city of Sante Fe de Antioquia. This is a guided tour that takes you to key historic sites of the city and surrounding area. Lunch is included. Overnight is at your Medellin hotel.
Day 4. In the morning you will be privately transferred to Guatape, where you stroll through town and view the houses and shops with their brightly coloured tiles depicting scenes from life in the area. Later you will take guided tours of the incredibly massive Peñol Rock and the beautiful Represa de Guatape. This will be a full-day tour with lunch included. In the late afternoon, you will receive a private transfer back to your Medellin hotel.
Day 5. Today you will be going to Leticia, the gateway to the Colombian Amazon by domestic flight. Upon arrival you will check in at one of the areas best hotels. Spend the afternoon getting to know this incredible place, where you can even walk across the borders with Brazil and Peru without any border crossing hassle whatsoever. It is indeed a world without borders. Breakfast will be included at your hotel.
Day 6. You will take a guided tour to Benjamin Constant Brazil, where you will be treated to a delicious Brazilian lunch, take a tour of the museum of the Tikuna Indigenous tribe and travel by boat to various sites on the Amazon River, perhaps even getting a glimpse of the famous pink dolphins of the Amazon.
Day 7. Today you will venture even further down the Amazon river to the super sustainable eco-pueblo of Puerto Nariño. You will stay overnight at Hotel Casa Selva. From here you can take guided ventures into the Amazon rainforest to experience its incredible array of flora and fauna.
Day 8. Head by boat back to Leticia where you will check into your hotel for your last night in the Colombian Amazon.
Day 9. You will take a domestic flight back to Medellin for your last night in Colombia. Accommodations at the same hotel with breakfast included.
Day 10. You will have a private transfer to the International Airport for your flight home.
